Technical Report: Investigation of the Causes of Wood Discoloration through SEM Observation

A case of identifying the substance that caused the wooden door to discolor to black.

Due to the discoloration of the wooden door, an observation using SEM (scanning electron microscope) was conducted to investigate the cause of the discoloration. The investigation revealed that numerous particles, presumed to be spores of microorganisms, were detected in the discolored areas, confirming that the cause of the discoloration was due to the proliferation of microorganisms such as mold.
